As Chanukah approaches, I’m pleased to share that The Haftarah and Its Parsha has a new website.
You’ll also find some of my own photographs on the site, including Zabriskie Point and Sprague Lake. Photography has long been an interest of mine, alongside study, and I’m glad to be able to include a few of them here.
What you’ll find
- About the Book: the cover, the description and the reviews the book has received.
- A sample chapter: under “Peak inside” you can read the opening of “Hanging by a Thread”, the chapter on parshat Shelach (Numbers 13:1–15:41) and its haftarah (Joshua 2:1–24).
- News: interviews and reviews in one place, including my conversation on Talkline with Zev Brenner.
- Media: images and documents for press and event organisers to download.
Buying the book
The book can now be ordered directly from the site. Choose “Store” from the menu, add the book to your basket and check out with PayPal.
With Chanukah beginning at sundown on Friday, December 4, the book may make a good gift for anyone interested in the haftarah and its connection to the weekly parsha.
I’m always glad to speak with communities, classes and reading groups. To arrange an interview, a talk or a signing, please get in touch through the Contact page.
Wishing you and your family a happy Chanukah.
Richard W. Golden
